Test: Are you going to get uneven skin tone?

By Guapologa March 28, 2016

Don’t freak out: There’s a solution for you, in case you already have some dark spots showing up. Just keep reading.

Hyper pigmentation is characterized by a darkening of an area of skin caused by the overproduction of a pigment in the skin known as melanin. It is relatively common and usually harmless, but for cosmetic reasons, it is a nuisance to those who have it. Did you know that having Latino ascendance make you more prone to develop hyper pigmentation?

Check out the following statements and answer yes or no to discover how high your risk is to develop uneven skin.

How prone you are to skin hyper pigmentation?

    1. Are you from latino/ black latino descendence?

Yes
No

    1. Do you take any hormonal treatment such as the pill?

Yes
No

    1. Do you wear daily a sunscreen product with 30 SPF or over?

Yes
No

    1. Are you pregnant or you plan to get pregnant in the following months

Yes
no

    1. Do you tend to pick on your pimples?

Yes
No

    1. Do you exfoliate frequently (1- 2 a week)?

Yes
No

    1. Do you already see some discoloration in any area of your body?

Yes
No

    1. Do you take any anti- seizure drugs?

Yes
No

    1. Do you have acne?

Yes
No

    1. Do you spend most of your time outdoors without wearing a hat/ cap and long sleeves/ pants?

Yes
No

The more points you get in your result, the more prone you are to develop an uneven skin tone, as skin becomes reactive to common circumstances: sunlight, ingrown hair and pregnancy, just to name some. Why does this happen? Because, as I was telling you before, hyper pigmentation is developed when the skin generates larger amounts of melanin. Although it can be present in any type of skin, this condition is more prevalent among certain ethnicities such as hispanic, as this skin tone tends to generate melanin that easily gets concentrated on dark spots.

What if you already present hyper pigmentation? What if you really want to soften the look of it or, even, get rid of it? Well, you will need products that break through melanin. For this, my bet goes to the Conffianz Clara & Confidente kit. Conffianz is a beauty brand designed with Latinas as their top of mind. It is the most effective product available without a prescription, and these products are recommended by dermatologists.
I must confess that the brand’s two magazine awards – winner of the 2014 Latina Beauty Award from Latina Magazine and winner of the 2015 Excellence in Beauty Award from Siempre Mujer Magazine- help me make up my mind and decide to give it a try.

I tried the Conffianz kit (available at select Walmart stores), and this is what it contains:

● Facial Cleanser that gently removes makeup, oil and other impurities while conditioning and soothing the skin. Key natural ingredients such as ginger, aloe, sweet almond and citrus extracts nourish the skin.

● Skin Lightener contains a unique non prescription formula which inhibits the production of excessive pigment that can lead to uneven skin tone or dark spots. Key ingredients derived from sunflowers, wheat germ and milk complement the pharmaceutical grade skin lightening ingredient to offer maximum results.

● Facial Moisturizer with SPF 30 is a lightweight, fragrance free moisturizer that absorbs quickly and can be used alone or under makeup. The unique blend of ingredients including chamomile, green tea and aloe help to sooth and moisturize the skin while protecting it. This product should be used daily to help prevent dark spots and other premature signs of aging.

Also, Conffianz has created a scholarship fund for Latinas called the Inexplicablemente Bella Scholarship. Conffianz also supports breast cancer awareness through Alas Wings a nonprofit that supports Latinas affected by Breast Cancer. How cool is when a beauty brand takes care of their community needs? Bravo!

Check out this video where they explain themselves how Conffianz works to solve this challenge. All their products have the information in English and Spanish. Todos los productos traen la información en español, completamente a la vista.

It worked for me, as I have been treating a dark spot I have (or used to have) on my hand, so I can say it is a good fit for sensitive fair olive skin, as mine is. I bet you would love the results too.

Share your results in the comments and tell us what area you would like to treat with Conffianz.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Conffianz and Latina Bloggers Connect. However, the opinions expressed are all mine.
